National Science Foundation

Dr. Marston has received a CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation for his proposal titled 'The fluid dynamics of needle-free intradermal jet injection'.

The award, worth more than $500,000 over five years, will allow the research group to continue our ongoing work in understanding the fluid dynamics of the jet injection process, where high-speed liquid micro-jets are used to puncture the skin and delivery a vaccine intradermally.

The group will continue our successful collaboration with industrial partners Inovio Pharmaceuticals, who have funded our previous research in this field.

Both graduate and undergraduate students will utilize the high-speed imaging capabilities of the laboratory to investigate this cutting edge technology. Any students who are interested in working on the project are welcome to contact Dr. Marston.

Comments from the man himself can be found here.
